Signature Lacrosse and the National Lacrosse League Announce Partnership
The National Lacrosse League and Signature Lacrosse announced the continuation of their partnership for the 2018-2019 season. The partnership began in 2017 when the NLL chose Signature Lacrosse to be the official Lacrosse Ball for the League.
As the NLL Commissioner, Nick Sakiewicz, comments, “The NLL is thrilled to welcome back Signature Lacrosse as the league’s official ball for a second straight year. When entering this partnership, we were looking for a cutting-edge lacrosse ball to pair with the best lacrosse athletes in the world. Signature and their ‘Signature Service’ certainly over delivered. We are proud to kick off the 2018-2019 season with Signature Lacrosse at our side”.
Signature Lacrosse Expand Past Lacrosse Balls
With Signature Lacrosse’s recent release of their first universal lacrosse head, The Contract, and future equipment on the horizon, we can expect to see more than just their Premium Balls on the field this season.
Signature Lacrosse is excited to be a part of creating that future as Dan Soviero, founder and CEO at Signature teases, “The NLL is the premier indoor professional lacrosse league and has done a great job of growing the sports reach in its grass roots and national broadcasting efforts. The executive team at the NLL, have been very receptive to innovations on the equipment side and we are confident these innovations will create a new chapter of history for the sport.”.
The NLL is the third in average attendance for pro indoor sports worldwide, behind the NHL and NBA, facilitating games for 12 franchises. The league now hosts over 90 games each season, with attendance at a record high, upwards of 11,000 fans each game. The NLL continues to grow the sport each year, in more areas than solely attendance. From their junior NLL Tournament to their NLL Hall of Fame, fans are eager for what comes next.
Signature Lacrosse’s mission to revolutionize the landscape of lacrosse by dynamically propelling the progression of the equipment, the athletes, and the experience of the sport is closely related to that of the NLL. Bringing the unique style of Box Lacrosse to American fans was the first step in transforming the sport.
The two organizations continue to grow their relationship with aligned visions for the future of the sport of lacrosse.
